Week five, August 9, found the Business N Beer crowd at The Rockefeller, in Hermosa Beach. The Rockefeller is a very nice gastropub with about 25 beers of tap, and I know several attendees enjoyed being able to try something new. Unless you are very prolific in the craft beer scene, most likely The Rockefeller has something you have yet to try. In addition to their fine tap selection, they offer a wide variety of food; I noticed quite a few people experimenting with the various offerings.
Once again, we had close to 20 people show up. As with the last couple of gatherings, we are finding a mixture of people from every previous event and at least a few first timers. Most everyone I spoke to has been very enthusiastic about Business N Beer and everyone has found some benefit from coming. Whether it was making a deal, meeting someone that provides a service they need or just the ability to get a little more exposure; there seems to be something for everyone. It is nice to see that people are bringing their friends. Regular attendee, Phil Walls, brought a friend that is a small business owner, and he was lucky enough that he won the door prize of a free craft beer at an upcoming event, so congrats to Bud on his win.
Speaking of upcoming events, our next Business N Beer will be held August 16 at 6:00 PM at El Segundo Brewing Company, located at 140 Main Street, in El Segundo. They are located on the southeast corner of Main and Franklin, across the street from Rock N Brews. If you can not find street parking, there is a large public FREE PARKING lot a block west of Main Street on Franklin. A very short block. El Segundo Brewing is a micro brewery, which means they do not serve food, but you can bring it in. You know we will have something to munch on.
