The February gathering of Business & Beer will be held February 11 at The Dudes’ Brewing Company from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. If you have not been to The Dudes’ recently, you just haven’t been. I attended an event last week for a collaboration release they did with KLOS radio. The Dudes’ has a new Master Brewer and Head Brewer and I have to say that their Bohemian Hopsody may be the best beer that has ever come out of that brewery. They have a new sessionable black IPA that was quite tasty as well. I personally look forward to trying more of the new brews coming out of The Dudes’. As a side note, The Dudes’ will be hosting their Trivia Night on the same day. It begins at 8:00 PM which is when Business & beer ends so feel free to stick around and enjoy the fun while exercising your brain. For the second month in a row, the Business & Beer networking group has met at a new tasting room; in October we visited El Segundo Brewing Company’s (ESBC) new tasting room, which was just moved to the other side of ESBC’s prior tasting room which increased their space by 200% or something. In December we visited Strand Brewing Company, who had no room to expand; so they moved. The new location is almost cavernous with their new 36,000 square-foot facility. We had a pretty nice turnout and everyone seemed to enjoy the new surroundings; you will want to visit Strand now that they are getting settled in.
Our December gathering of Business & Beer will be held at The Brewery at Abigaile in Hermosa Beach. The last couple of times we have met there we have had some fun groups, Abigaile is quickly turning into a crowd favorite. They have a new brewer now and what I have tried has been great; you know their food is fantastic. We will meet Thursday, December 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Just so you are aware, they do have underground parking. The Brewery at Abigaile is located at 1301 Manhattan Avenue in Hermosa Beach.

The September 2015 Business & Beer which was held at Smog City Brewing Company on Thursday evening, September 10. If you recall, we were in the midst of a pretty bad heat wave with even worse humidity, so all things considered, including parents attending Back-to-School nights, we had a pretty decent turnout. Those that did attend were able to network while enjoying a couple new Smog City Brewing brews including Cuddlebug and California Love.
Our next gathering of Business & Beer will be held October 8, 2015 at El Segundo Brewing Company from 6:00-8:00 PM. This is Business & Beer’s first return to El Segundo Brewing Company since they expanded their tasting room, so if you have not been there lately prepare to be surprised. It is probably three or four times bigger than the last time we were there; with plenty of seating. El Segundo Brewing has some new beers you will want to try including their Power Plant Triple IPA.
